An afternoon walk up Cwm Du (The Lorna Doone one) where we saw three Peregrine falcons. The heather is in full bloom on the Beacons now, and there seems to be more of it now there are fewer sheep!
As long as you have some warm clothes the walking is great! About minus five at the moment, and quite a strong wind, but the trails are nice and firm, and visibility good!
Spotted this rather random tree sculpture to frame the view of Hatterall Hill.
Room 2 is still availble for Friday 16th and Saturday 17th September. Email email@example.com to book. Forecast is looking dry with some sun….
My new cut flower patch is looking pretty good! All grown from seed sown in April/May, mostly from Sarah Raven’s collection.
Amazing hot sunny weather over here in the Beacons (sorry people on the East Coast). Mountain tarn swimming and cycling in sleeveless vests have been this week’s highlights.
We have availability this weekend, and the bluebells are are still out over here in the Beacons – email us on firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
A new cycle route has been planned across the Beacons from Llandeilo to Abergavenny, which can accessed by train at either end. See the full details here https://breconbeacons.wordpress.com/2016/05/10/cycle-across-the-beacons/.
First the swallows (last week) then the swifts (Monday) and now evening cycle ride in vest and shorts! (5th May)
Did a quick late afternoon jaunt up the main path from Pont Yr Daff yesterday, lovely evening, but still blooming cold on the top!
